Liberty was a terrific hotel stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Bath was great. Upgraded for a river view and it did not disappoint. Breakfast in CLINK was delicious and filling. Dinner in SCAMPO was exceptional - both in terms of food and service. SCAMPO was a bit loud but it was a Saturday night and the entire lobby and bars were packed. Quite a fun experience and the "jail" decor and remodel are great to see. Champaigne on arrival - nice touch. Noted that the room a/c filter needed to be changed and staff addressed it immediately. Great location with the T across the street but also a good location if you enjoy walking - Beacon HIll is right there as is the Science center. We will definitely be back!

My 19 year old son and I stayed at the Liberty for four nights and had a great time. Our corner double room had great views, even from the bathtub!. The staff was professional, courteous, and helpful. One of the concierge staff suggested several places to eat and the two we chose were fabulous. Since the T was just across the street, we were able to go all over the Boston area on a $15 7-day linkpass and didn't rent a car. Even took the MBTA in from the airport. Fashion night on Thursday was great for people-watching. The Liberty Hotel (at least part of it) is in an old jail and since I am a criminal defense attorney, that was fascinating, too. The Liberty is the place to stay in Boston.

This is a unique hotel with its jail-themed decor and interesting history. It is a refreshing change from the usual cookie-cutter hotels and yet doesn't have the cold feeling that many other trendy hotels give off. We found the front desk staff welcoming when we checked in and all of the staff were helpful with questions throughout our stay. We ate breakfast at Clink and thought it was great, but did not get the chance to try the hotel's other restaurant. The location is convenient to the T (station across the street) and is near the river with a nice pathway for those who like to walk or jog. The room had convenient features including the ability to access the weather from your phone console. The bed was too soft but everything else about the room was comfortable. We were able to get an excellent rate on the web and would definitely stay here again because we felt we got good value for our money.

The common areas are fantastic, and we loved the bar and restaurant. The room, however, while clean and sporting a very comfortable bed, was small and no different from your average mid-level chain hotel room. The bathroom was spacious, though the water pressure in the stand-alone shower was quite weak.
